Cold Chain Breach Management

GCCS provides Excursion Investigation and CAPA reports for to mitigate risks and repair supply chains after a cold chain breach. Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions (CAPA) reports can assist with identifying potential areas of a cold chain that may be at risk, and taking actions to mitigate these risks. This is done is four stages:

  • Investigation
  • Analysis
  • Actions
  • Verification

An Excursion Investigation occurs after a cold chain breach. This is done to identify the problem that occurred and how it can be prevented in the future. A deviation from the intended temperature range is most common during transport, so accurate and regular data recording during transit is vital.
